Who am I? A loaded question.
Let’s start with the basics... I’m picky. I don’t like cheese, or tomatoes, or eggs. But it’s not just food... no, there’s more. I’m picky about the adjectives I use to describe my day, the shade of my morning latte, and even the way the wash of jeans that I’m wearing coordinates with my top. Maybe particular is a better word.
What can I say-- I’m a creative. I care about the aesthetics of things. I care about finding the intersection between design and strategy. I believe that details matter, I love the i m p a c t a little kerning can have, and the refreshing inhale a little white space can add.
I’ve always been fond of a blank page. While many find the unknown daunting, I’ve always found comfort in it. It allows me to push the boundaries of what’s been done before and find new paths to the way I approach creativity.
When I was younger, I filled my days by using my imagination and creating new things. I loved the feeling of knowing that I had made something that was unique and my own. I’ve spent 23 years chasing the feeling that I got as a kid, when I made something new.
I want to live big. I want to travel far. I want to laugh hard, and love harder. I want to change the world. I refuse to believe that anyone can be too small to not have an impact. I believe that everybody deserves to take up space in this world. Because life is too short to make yourself smaller, in order to fit inside someone else’s definition of happiness.
